The China International Big Data Industry Expo (Big Data Expo)

The China International Big Data Industry Expo (“Big Data Expo”), the world’s first exposition on the theme of big data, is co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, PRC (NDRC), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, PRC (MIIT), the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government. Since its inception in 2015, the Big Data Expo has adhered to the philosophy of " global vision, national level, industry perspectives and corporate standpoints" to actively explore new mechanisms for international cooperation in the era of digital economy, provide Chinese solutions for global big data development, and promote the technical application and industrial development of big data around the world. It has become an international event filled with opportunities for cooperation and leading industrial development as well as a world-class platform for seeking common development and sharing new achievements.

Over the past few years since its inception, the Big Data Expo has gained high attention from leaders of the CPC Central Committee and the national leadership, and received much spotlight from the public at home and abroad. It has also seen a steady increase in the level of guests, exhibition scale, release of achievements, and contract amount. From May 26 to 28, the Big Data Expo 2023 was held in Guiyang, Guizhou with the theme of “integrating digital and real economies, unlocking the future with computing power.” It concurred with the Guiyang Industry Expo, and a series of activities were held around “a conference, an exhibition, a release, a contest, and business & investment negotiations.” Altogether there were 222 activities with more than 180,000 visitors during three days, which marked an all-time high.
