China Dongfeng Motor Industry Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd., founded in May, 1983, is a professional foreign trade company of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, with the registered capital of RMB 200,000,000. The company is a first foreign trade company in China automobile industry with the approval of the state, as well as one of major foreign trade enterprises managed by Ministry of Commerce of the P.R.C. The company is headquartered in Wuhan, and has built some wholly-owned or holding subsidiaries in Shanghai, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Russia, etc. The company, with 237 employees, mainly specializes in foreign trade, industrial investment and logistics management, and has become a group company focusing on import and export trade, and expanding towards industrial and logistics business. Currently, the company has exported Dongfeng passenger vehicles, such as Aeolus, FurterLink, Fengdu, etc., and Dongfeng commercial vehicles to more than 100 countries and regions in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South America, etc., and auto parts to some countries and regions in North America, Western Europe, Japan, etc.

Milestone

The predecessor of the company is Dongfeng Motor Industry Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. The company is the first professional foreign trade company in China automobile industry, established according to the reform of national foreign trade system in 1980s; and then was reconstructed as per the Company Law of the People's Republic of China to set a Board of Directors, and renamed China Dongfeng Motor Industry Import and Export Co. Ltd Company (DFMIEC). Due to the needs for operation and development, the registration place was transferred from Shiyan Hubei to Pudong Shanghai on November 27, 2000. Due to the needs for development of Dongfeng’s overseas business, the registration place was transferred again into Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone on December 23, 2011.

Scope of Business

“Self-operation and agency of import and export business of various commodities and technologies, except for the commodities and technologies that the state restricts enterprises to deal in or prohibits import and export (without attachment of commodity catalog); processing with imported materials and “three-processing and one compensation” business; transit trade and counter trade; sale of vehicles (including sedan); import and sale of steel (the business involving the administrative licensing shall run with a license.); rental of commercial buildings; labor service; consulting of automotive technologies (excluding vehicle maintenance); certification agent.”
