Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Wuhuan"), formerly known as the Fourth Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry founded in 1958, is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the central enterprise, i.e. China National Chemical Engineering Group  Corporation Ltd.(CNCEC). It is a national high-tech enterprise with a State level enterprise technology center and a national energy comprehensive utilization center of low-level coal. It is a national model unit and a Chinese AAA credit enterprise.

Wuhuan is an international engineering company that integrates technology research and development, engineering technology, engineering services, and industrial operations. It has a comprehensive Class A qualification in engineering design, and is one of the most powerful engineering companies in China in the fields of ammonia and ammonia processing, phosphorus chemical industry, coal chemical industry, petrochemical industry, natural gas chemical industry, oil and gas storage and transportation, new materials, and industrial environmental protection. It is also a leader among China's foreign engineering contractors.
